Currently music lessons are only offered on a Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday schedule.

(Lessons will be unavailable for the following week: Aug 10 – Aug 17. Normal scheduling will resume on Aug 19, 2024.)

The majority of my students take lessons in LilyPond, ear training/music theory, music composition, or sound design techniques. However I do offer private study covering a range of other topics as well. For a full list of available lessons, see the section below. Please contact me to arrange your next lesson or inquire about rates and topics. If you decide to book a month of lessons (4 nonconsecutive hours), you will receive one additional free lesson as a new student.

Hello and welcome! If you are considering music lessons with me, here is some more information for you.

A Free Introductory Lesson
Every new student receives a complimentary 30-minute one-on-one introductory lesson. This session is designed to give you a feel for my teaching style and to help us determine if we’re a good match. It also provides me the opportunity to get to know you better so I can tailor a lesson plan that suits your unique needs and goals.

Personalized Learning Experience
To ensure that our lessons are as effective as possible, I encourage you to fill out a brief questionnaire. This will help me understand your goals, preferences, and learning style. Whether you’re a visual learner who benefits from images and videos, or an aural learner who thrives on sound, spoken word, or music, I’m here to adapt our lessons to how you learn best. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to music, and together we’ll create a plan that’s just right for you.

Recorded Lessons
As an added benefit, I offer all my students the option to have their lessons recorded. This way, you can revisit and review any lesson at your convenience, helping you track your progress and reinforce what you’ve learned.
